Starting her up

After graduating in a whirlwind from Goshen College at the end of April, I went on an amazing Anabaptist History tour in Europe with my college for three weeks, visiting France, Germany, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. I then traveled with my roommate of the past three years, th enchanting Emily "Muffinpants" Stuckey, for two weeks in the Republic of Ireland. Upon arriving back in the States, i spent a day repacking and then flew up to Minnisota, where i am currently, to work at Wilderness Wind, a camp in Ely that takes groups canoeing in the Boundary waters. After a week of orientation on the water with the 8 other wonderful members of staff, the first three groups arrived. I co-lead a group with Aryn; she and I made a smashing duo, dealing with new routes, unexpected rapids, inclement weather and a new system of bear bags and coming out on top. also discovered a love for botany, i'm working on memorizing tree names and tiny flowers and lichens and fungi and having a ball. look for pictures soon.
